Born & raised in the middle of nowhere, I am a Rhode Island native currently residing near the Providence area with my wife and our little pup. This is where I spend many nights designing, drawing, creating and learning on far too little sleep. (Fun fact: I don't drink coffee.)
Driven by my passion for all things digital I try to learn and explore different techniques daily to create pleasant and sensible experiences. I have a background of over 15 years within the field of Web Design and UX, and I've been a student of the arts my entire life. My favorite tools are Photoshop, Illustrator and Clip Studio Pro, though I would say I spend the majority of my time at work in Sublime text and, more recently, Adobe XD.
Other hobbies include listening to strange music, filling sketchpads with complete randomness, video games that I have absolutely no time for, writing, photography, playing various musical instruments and driving my wife completely crazy.
My Experience Covers:
Wireframing & Prototyping
You can't build a house without the blueprints. It's an important part of the process for everyone involved to make sure the team and client are on the same page.
Whether I'm designing web layouts or just exercising some creativity, I spend a lot of my time in Photoshop and Illustrator.
I always strive to create clean, easy to read stylesheets and semantic markup. In a team it is paramount for anyone to be able to jump in to make edits, and this is best achieved through having a front-end dev who understands design.
With the ever changing amount of devices we use, being able to have a responsive solution is a crucial necessity.
A major factor in my design process is being able to effectively guide a user in a meaningful way through creating engaging interactive experiences between people and devices.
I have been drawing and coloring since I was a child and while it is mostly a hobby, it has helped shape my skills as a designer.
